Details of this tour
Walking through the charming, medieval looking town you will discover the gothic style cathedral as well as the first German “castle”, the Albrechtsburg. Via comfortable steps you will come down to the city center which has remained the same since the 17th century. Numerous buildings from the time of Renaissance and Baroque cling to each other here.
At the central square you will either have some free time for individual exploration or experience a special lunch at the wine-restaurant “Vincenz Richter”.
The topic of the afternoon is “The mystery of the Blue Crossed Swords”. You will visit the first and therefore the oldest porcelain manufactory of Europe opened in 1710. Here you may have a tour with recorded commentary to see how they produce the so-called “White Gold”. Or you let me introduce you during an individually guided tour to many secrets about Meissen porcelain.
Let us have a look into the museum of the manufactory afterwards. If you need a gift for a special occasion - the “Outlet” as well as the “Premium Shop” will grant almost all of your desires.
